Children's Church
Here at Northwest Friends Church, we take great pride in our children's ministries. One such ministry is Children's Church. Children's church provides valuable life lessons geared for kids, grades K-6.
These lessons are currently created by each teacher or teaching pair from week to week. To give you an idea of the lessons that we do teach, here are some examples. Some lesson's come straight from the bible, some are more of a discussion about a topic that teachers think are relevant at the time, and some are the teachers personal life experience retold to provide a lesson or moral for the children. Also, we provide a snack for the kids, and we play games and/or do crafts, behavior permitting.
We have a rotating teacher schedule for Children's Church. For example: the teacher, or teaching pair, that teaches the first Sunday of the month, will teach every first Sunday of the month, with few exceptions. Children's Church is crucial because it provides targeted material and lessons for children in a open and welcoming environment. It also, by default, allows the parents to give their full attention to the service and not worry about their children.
If you have any ideas for lessons, snacks, crafts, or you simply have something to donate that you think will help Children's Church, contact Ben Cabrera. Questions, comments, or concerns can addressed by him as well.
